Acupuncture and East Asian medicine have been in use for over 2,000 years. One of the foundations of this medicine is the belief that each person, each living thing has “Qi” – a life energy.

The human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points, connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease. The goal of an acupuncture appointment is to renew the healthy flow of qi and to restore the body to balance.

From the standpoint of Western medicine, acupuncture stimulates nerves both local to the immediate muscles, as well as spanning organs in the body, creating relief that spans the nervous system, muscles, and organs.

Uses: neuromuscular pain, nervous system stimulation...

...and many, many more!
